Section 66
Not Insurable
(1) Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Act, an insurer shall not insure any property or liability of any of the following persons or institutions:-
(a) Liability to be borne by the insurer himself, (b) Owner of the basic shares of the insurer, director, consultant, auditor, employee or member of his immediate family,
(c) of a fundamental shareholder or a member of his immediate family,
(d) of a firm, company or organization having the right to nominate or appoint its directors,
(e) of any firm, company or organization, basic shareholder or a member of his immediate family, having a financial interest in the director of the insurer or being the managing agent or shareholder or director of the director. But the life insurance business within the terms and limits of the insurance as determined by the authority will not hinder the insuring of the persons mentioned in this sub-section.
(2) This. Notwithstanding anything else written in the section, the provision mentioned in sub-section (1) shall not apply in relation to insuring property or liability owned by the Government of Nepal.
